Liverpool Transplant Football Club
What is Transplant Football?
Liverpool Transplant Football Club are the first Football Association registered Transplant Football Club in the U.k. Inspiring dialysis and transplant patients that anything is achievable. Our transplant football club is a way to integrate patients back into the community and build self-belief in their own ability with like-minded people.
Our mission is to overcome adversity and raise awareness of Organ Donation and the benefits that the gift of life can give to all ages.
Since 2018 our club has developed into a Pan disability football club, providing training sessions and league football. All mixed-ability players 16+, male & female, are welcome to join us for our training sessions in a safe and friendly environment.
What is Para Football?
Para football is a term used to describe a diverse network of persons whose football ability is not determined by their disability. Emphasising more on the abilities to compete at all levels in football around the world.
Where can I get involved in Para Disability Football?
Our teams play in the Merseyside Ability Counts League, in bands A and B (Premiership and Championship). No matter what your football ability, all players get a chance to get involved with roll on and roll off subs. So you don't miss out on the fun and team spirit but achieve specific goals tailored to your ability and fitness level.
Are your coaches qualified?
All our coaches are Min FA L1 - Uefa B Qualified, First Aid responders and hold a FA welfare officer license. We are fully insured through Bluefin Insurance and work with National Mental Health organisations to aid our player's progression and integration back into the community.
New Generation
In 2022/23 we are developing more opportunities and provisions for Transplant and Pan-Disability Kids, Teens and Adults.
Starting with a Soca Kidz Development Academy for Transplant children aged 5-7 and 7-12 years with an aim to progress onto our 12-16 Talent Pathway, to one day play for England Transplant Football Club.
We will be providing more opportunities for girls and women to get involved in football and join local leagues in Liverpool and Cheshire, through our #TheGirlCan project, working with Sport England.
As well as continuing our Halton Hawks Futsal training and matches for all ages and Inclusion, Men & Women's Health football sessions will be back in spring 2023.
