19+ Teaching Assistant or Early Years worker

Being a small local charity we will give you one to one tutoring throughout this programme as we specialise in providing close support and guidance to help build your confidence and develop belief "that you can achieve"!

We offer QCF Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma (Nursery worker)  or the QCF Level 3 Diploma in Support for Teaching and Learning.(Teaching Assistant - TA). TA is a family friendly occupation as they get school holidays. All our courses are offered as tutorials and made as flexible as we are able to fit around caring duties or work. Currently, most of our students are finding employment.

We are particularly keen to support those who may have had difficulty achieving in the past or wish to return having had an extended break from work.

The courses may be fully funded through an Advanced Learner loan.

Other notes

All applicants need to have a reasonable ability with English and Maths. Specific qualifications whilst an advantage are not required as we will assess each individual. We require an English assessment to reach Level 1 for Teaching Assistant and Level 2 for Early Years.

For Level 3 Early Years routes, applicants should appreciate that level 3 roles (Team Leaders/ Managers) in nurseries require staff to hold English and Maths GCSE's at Grade C or above or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.

We therefore encourage applicants to have these or have a route to achieving them prior to starting our Early Years course.
