IA (Ileostomy & Internal Pouch Association)

IA is a registered charity offering vital support to people living with an ileostomy or an internal pouch, their families, friends and carers. Our primary aim is to help people return to a full and active life as soon as possible after surgery.
As the first UK stoma patient support group with over 60 years experience, IA offers a unique service to those living with or affected by surgery connecting them with others who have been through a similar experience, trained to offer lifestyle support.
With a wealth of literature, written and reviewed by healthcare professionals and strong relationships with surgeons and stoma care nurses, IA is well placed to offer guidance and support either before or after surgery.
