The Admission Policy for the school is fully inclusive. The aims of the Learning Support Department are guided by the S.E.N. Code of Practice. The school offers equality of opportunity and access to the curriculum for all pupils regardless of ability or special educational need (both with or without an Education and Health Care Plan). Every child is encouraged to reach her/his full potential and to enhance her/his self esteem. Archbishop Blanch School is not a resourced school and does not have a focused provision or any S.E.N. specialism.

Provision is made for S.E.N. pupils through the effective use of available resources and by differentiation of elements of the curriculum. All curricular areas can be accessed by pupils using wheelchairs, either by use of the lift or by ramps. The school has purchased some specialist equipment for use in departments where practical skills are a requirement.
