Arden College

Arden College is an Independent Specialist College for young adults aged 16-25 years with autism spectrum disorder. The college supports students to develop their skills so that they can move onto adult life as independently as possible. This includes developing communication, functional skills, employability and skills for independent living. Each student follows an individualised programme, tailored to their specific needs.

Placements are typically for up to three years, with regular reviews held to ensure that a student's needs continue to be met. The review process also incorporates planning for the student's transition to life beyond college.

The college offers both day and residential placements with residential provision available for 38 or 52 weeks. Respite placements are available for learners. Residential provision is in a number of small homes within the local community. Residential students are supported to continue to learn new skills and apply these in their daily activities, including personal care, household tasks and community skills.

Arden College is inspected by Ofsted and is graded as Good (June 2019). All of Arden’s residential units are inspected by CQC and are all rated as compliant.

As part of Aspris Children's Services (formerly known as Priory Education and Children's Services) the college undergoes extensive internal reviews of quality and compliance against Ofsted and CQC outcomes.
