SUPPORT WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS - INCLUDING SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS, SENSORY NEEDS AND DISABILITY
The centre provides Family Support and advice to families who have children with additional needs.
We provide this support through our SEN & Disability Link Workers who offer home visits, parenting advice, assessments, signposting to specialist services etc.
SEN/D Link Workers offer support around Speech & Language Issues, Sensory difficulties, Sleep problems, behavioural issues etc.
We run a weekly Parent/Carer’s Support Group called SWAN (Support with Additional Needs) where parent carers can come along to meet other parents with similar needs and SEN/D Link Workers are on-hand to offer support and advice. We invite other professionals along from specialist services to meet the needs of the families that attend.
We have access to a Sensory Room and periodically we run specialist clinics or training sessions to meet particular needs e.g. Sensory training, sleep clinics, Chatterbox – Speech & Language Support etc.
Fully accessible centre with access to a Sensory Room
