It's Your Life is a well established charity who 3 years ago, branched out to Liverpool to replicate the highly successful, 'It's Your Child's Life' course across Merseyside.

Delivered by Ofsted rated outstanding teachers with vast experience of working in family support and SEND, this 6 week course provides parents with the tools they need to help their children thrive.By giving parents an insight into what their children are learning in school and and how they are being taught, parents are empowered and given the tools they need to be real partners in their child's learning journey. This will  improve life chances and outcomes for both parent and child alike making home and school a really happy, positive experience for all.With a sound knowledge and understanding of updated EYFS curriculum, course leaders weave in activities in a fun, relaxed way that help parents develop skills, habits and routines that have a really positive impact on home and school life. Skills learnt on this course last a lifetime and will benefit the whole family.

The course is underpinned by helping  parents to develop their knowledge, attitudes, skills, routines and habits in a non threatening, friendly and supportive way helping them to be the best they can be.

The course has been described as the 'Golden Ticket' between parent and child, parent and school and parent and community. This course is beneficial for all parents of early years children. Parents of children with lower level or emerging SEND have found this course to be hugely beneficial too. We've delivered in Both PVI and school nurseries with great success.

The course can either be run in your child's setting or at the Millennium Centre, West Derby, Liverpool L12. Each session is between 1 and a half and two hours long with a plethora of resources to take away and try at home.

This course is delivered by two fully qualified teachers who are lead practitioners in the area of early years and family support.

This course is brilliant for parents really wanting to support their children's learning journey.

This course is brilliant for those parents who need support establishing sleep, routines, diet and exercise, managing behaviour and nurturing their child's emotional wellbeing as well as giving them an insight into the areas of learning and development covered in school.

This course helps parents who feel isolated as they become part of our, 'It's Your Child's Life' community, achieving goals they never thought they'd be able to achieve.

This is a covid controlled environment.

Hands must be sanitised upon entry and masks worn in communal areas.

Masks can be removed inside educational establishments from 21st June 2021.

When the course is run in schools, all school procedures are followed.

Details
At the Millennium centre, course costs £360 per parent. Six week course must be paid for in full. Resources, folders, books are all provided by the course leaders for parents to keep and try out at home with their children. When the course is run in schools or PVI settings, the course costs £1250 for up to 12 parents and all resources, booklets and refreshments are provided by the charity.

This course is ideal for those professionals who want to refer a family for support. Safeguarding teams and family solicitors are more than welcome to refer a family for help.

Other notes

Parents usually attend on their own but if they have a small child with them or feel secure with another family member attending, then we can cater for their needs.

Assistance dogs are welcome.
