Abercromby Nursery School
ABERCROMBY is a maintained nursery school in Liverpool City Centre, providing education for 2-5 year olds in term time. We are rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in all 5 areas (March 2023).
We are an oasis in the heart of Liverpool and our large mature garden hosts Forest School. We are a multicultural School of Sanctuary, where all our little people thrive and learn. As we are a school, all learning is led by qualified early years teachers, complemented by a team of experienced, skilled and caring support staff. We are very proud of the progress that our children make during their time with us.
We prioritise our 2 year old places for children eligible for a Government funded place, which is means tested. All children who are 3 and over are eligible for 15 hours of funded education every week. Some children of working families may also be entitled to an additional 15 hours, and so can access a full time place.
We host SEND resouce provision for a small number of children who have significant additional needs.

- We provide 15 hr funded (free) places for some 2 year olds whose families are in receipt of certain benefits. We provide 15 hr funded (free) places for all 3-4 year old children. Working families may entitled to an additional 15 hrs meaning their children can attend full time. We also offer some paid places for families who would like extra hours, when extra hours are available. Please speak to the office for more information.
