Early Communication Group/ Speech and Language sessions at Everton Family Centre

This is a six week course for parents to bring their children to. 

Criteria to access the course:

• child has limited attention or listening skills
• child's play is self directed
• child's play is limited
• concerns about social commnunication skills
• child displays limited interaction with others
• child could be non-verbal

The course will aim to:

Help parents begin to join in and play with their child

To begin early turn taking

To help parents to tune into the child's communication level and respond with appropriate strategies

This is a child led group with a range of motivating activities for each child. Practitioner will talk to parents to find out what their child is interested in.
