Comics Youth
Our mission is to provide a voice for marginalized young people including care leavers, LGBTQIA YP, SEND YP, looked after children, young carers, and young people experiencing mental ill-health by providing them the tools to express themselves, improve their literacy, speak truth to power and have their voices heard through publishing zines and comics about salient community issues
Juniors Comics Workshop takes place every Saturday:
11am until 12:30 for ages 8 to 13
Learn how to make comics, plan a zine, practice your art, get an idea off the ground, and browse our ever-growing library of comics.

- Description
For any young person who accesses any service at Alder Hey children's hospital or one of it's referral points, can sign up to join our Pencil Pals programme.
You will get 8 weeks of 1-2-1 creative sessions where you will work with us each week to create a story that will be published in a book.
You will also learn about and work on comic making, illustrations, sketch book techniques, creative writing, poetry, story telling and more.
Open to anyone aged 25 and under who has accessed any Alder Hey services.
