Barnardo's Action with Young Carers, Liverpool

The service is commissioned by Liverpool city council to support young carers and young adult carers up to 25 who are caring for an adult.
We are a city wide service that ensures young carers and young adult carers in Liverpool are identified and can receive a carer’s assessment under the statutory duty of the Council.
Young carers are children and young people under the age of 18 years who provide care to another family member who has a physical illness/disability including mental ill health, sensory disability or has a problematic use of drugs or alcohol.
