YPAS - Information Advice and Guidance (IAG)

Practical One to One Support
Young People IAG
Delivered via one-to-one support, this project works with children and young people aged 11—25 who, due to a wide range of needs, are isolated and often have low confidence and self-esteem. The aim of the project is to support and give confidence to young people in setting goals, focusing on enhancing positive mental health and well-being, assisting young people to break down any barriers or challenges faced.
YPAS Parenting IAG Service
This service provides parents with information advice and guidance and practical support, tailored to the whole family’s needs.
Family pressures can sometimes be difficult to manage without support and guidance to help. Many parents feel confused by what information is available or struggle to access services.
Parenting IAG will provide a listening ear and provide parents with information, advice and guidance including signposting to internal and external organisations depending on the needs of the family.
Types of support can include;
- Advocacy
- Support to access external agencies (signposting)
- Bullying
- Education
- To access this service YPAS referral required
- Goal Based interventions.
Parent IAG is a goal based intervention which you will discuss with your Parent Practitioner. Contact YPAS to make a referral.

YPAS provides mental health and emotional wellbeing services for Liverpool's children, young people and families.
Established in 1966 YPAS is a charitable sector organization that supports children, young people and families to address their mental health and emotional well-being difficulties. The delivery of our citywide services includes: primary schools, secondary schools and across three locality community hubs.
Our Wellbeing Services provide a range of services that are designed to help you with your practical issues: offering various groups, drop-ins and individual information, advice and guidance.
Our Counselling and Psychotherapy Services provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions that are designed to help you address those issues that are impacting on your mental health and emotional well-being.
