I live in the Hunts Cross area of Liverpool within walking distance of the train station and bus routes.  I have a dedicated playroom built especially for the children leading out onto the garden which has been landscaped to suit the needs and safety of the children. We spend a lot of time in the garden growing veg, making dens and playing with the mud kitchen. The playroom has been created to be a calming and stimulating place for the children, it is full of educational resources for them to explore and engage with.  I am inspired by the Hygge in the Early Years, the Emilia Reggio approach and Forest school. I aim to create an environment/setting where your child is the absolute centre of it. It is a place for them to feel safe, loved and to enjoy the natural world in all the seasons.

We visit local parks e.g. Calderstones Park, Sefton Park and Hale Village Park. We visit Norton Priory on a weekly basis and Speke Hall to watch the planes and play in the Woodland trail. During school holidays we visit places further afield such as Dunham Massey, The Imperial War Museum in Manchester, Kenyon Hall Farm in Warrington to pick fruit and the National Waterways museum. The curriculum I offer is very much nature based.

If you want your child to experience lots of outdoor activities then my setting is for you I believe it is an environment where children learn best and are happy.

I am a member of the South Liverpool Childminding Network and regulary attend training sessions.
